Admissions Process

Michaela is a selective Sixth Form for high-achieving, highly-driven students.

Applicants to the sixth form must secure on average grade 7s in 7 GCSEs, including English and Maths (we will discount the lowest grade). Students wanting to study Further Maths, must have achieved a grade 8 or above in GCSE Maths. For all other subjects, students must secure at least a grade 7 in the subjects they wish to study.

Applications open on Tuesday 1st October for 2020 entry.

Admission to the Michaela Sixth Form involves:
  • Submitting an online application form
  • Having an interview and completing a short subject-specific entrance exam
  • Meeting the grade requirements

The interview and exam will take place in February/March. Candidates will meet with the Head of Sixth Form. Offers will be made to successful applicants at the end of March/April.

About Michaela Sixth Form

Michaela Sixth Form is a new sixth form which opened in 2019. Michaela Community School (our parent school) opened in September 2014 and has already established a reputation as one of the most highly performing schools in the country. Our 2019 GCSE grades were some of the best in the country.
